Stadium upgrades

Went in early and took a lap around the stadium. Here’s a few thoughts:

-most importantly, the troughs remain in the men’s bathrooms. Had white porcelain on the West side and steel troughs on the East - Grade A+
-food options - didn’t see any addl specialty food options but Inn steak sandwiches remain and we like them. $19 for a cheesesteak with onions - Grade B
-the PSU concessions seemed to add a lot more food options. Family had loaded nachos - $14 - and said they were very good Grade B+
-East side was opened up more for concessions and a lot of beer/drink options. They did a nice job with this. Grade A
-West side is still pretty tight with traffic flow, mainly due to visiting team partitions. Grade C
-WiFi - just can’t seem to get this right. I was happy to send a text msg or 2 but the connection (now PSU Fan) went in and out and still tough to get consistent service. Grade D
-video boards are new, bigger, and we thought better. New upper ribbon (top of upper South end) will be interesting. Added a 2nd ribbon on North and South ends - didn’t really notice much there. Grade TBD

I think they said that work is already complete. Doubt that is very noticeable to attending fans.

True but that was the main focus. Not going to see a lot changes this fall. Next year should see big changes.

Most of the changes this year were cosmetic. Escalators, bathrooms, signage but most importantly winterization

I thought the wifi connection was terrible. I couldn’t connect to the PSU App at all. Text messages took 3 or 4 attempts, or never made it thru. There was no upgrade in this area, in my opinion.

Also, the out of town scores were in the corner of the upper ribbon. If they were any larger, it would have been in braille.

Only the north scoreboard was new, it appears.

Yes. I meant to mention the out of town scores. This was a downgrade as I couldn’t find it st first, then realized I needed binoculars. Grade F

Also should mention the signage. Lots of it. Welcome sign entering some gates, student section sign, and many signs inside indicating bowl games. Grade B+
