I have watched Moorhead display his offense, which is described as a shotgun spread.
I just have one question and a point/comment. Question: How much of the read option do you think will be used? Obviously no one no's for sure, but how much did he use in the past and a ball park guess/answer would be fine.
Second Point: Moorhead said at his presser, that his entire offense is predicated and starts with being able to run the ball. I see this as a potential problem with the same basic line. Hear me out. The second half of the season, after Barkley exploded onto the scene, all teams did was takeaway Barkley and force us to beat them with the pass.
What happens when Barkley runs into the same trouble because of the same no push line. When teams were keeing on Barkley the second half of the season? Every now and then Barkley would break like two long runs, to make his avg. look decent. But we did not see any of a regular basic running the ball down the field on a drive. He couldn't get a flow of four to six yards a carry going as he lead the team down the field, on drives.
Thoughts on this.
