Stanford RB Barry Sanders Jr. gets release

an excerpt from Donnie Collins in the Times-Tribune this morning "
Shoop has never coached anywhere very long. His coaching career started in 1989, and in 26 years, he has not stayed at one school longer than four seasons. He has consistently jumped at the jobs he has considered to be the right ones for his career. He’s an opportunist, like so many other assistant and head coaches.

Shoop has said on several occasions he’d like to be a head coach. The best way to do that is to keep his name among the nation’s best coordinators. The best way to stay among the nation’s best defensive coordinators is to surround himself with tested players. Tennessee will have them in the immediate future. Meanwhile, Penn State lost the three defensive linemen — end Carl Nassib and tackles Austin Johnson and Anthony Zettel — that made the defense so good last season.
