Well, I guess it would be better if PSU lost its hoops games 2-0 rather than by 20 or more points, which will happen if they play most of their conference games, especially the road ones.

No, there hasn't been a single college football or basketball player that has gotten seriously ill from Covid since the pandemic began, but facts be damned! We need to panic!!!! Idiots.

So if half the team is sick with Covid they should just play the game anyways? This is to prevent teams from playing. This trying to prevent a school from trying to play a game with say only 7 players instead of forfeiting or just forfeiting since they don't have enough players. Now this gives them leeway to try and reschedule the game and avoid just forfeiting the game. If they were truly scared like you said they would just have the forfeit and cancel the game.

Right. I think something have gotten pretty ill. Near death? Maybe not. But pretty sick.
