This snow storm means business. Just watched the latest model run and it's even further north with precip shield and heavier snows. Most of PA and NJ get clobbered and basically blizzard conditions. Flooding at the shore will come close to matching Sandyost like 1-2 ft storm surge less than Sandy. Don't be surprised to see the amounts upped again. 50-60 mph winds and probably 2 feet in most areas of not more . Be safe and don't go out. Gas up your cars stay home and let the plows do their work. Be prepared for power outages as well.

Went to the grocery store yesterday to stock-up for the snow. What a madhouse! But the liquor store was even worse!! :(

Interested in what you mean when you say "further north" and "most of PA". I'm just north of Pittsburgh and was planning on sitting back and watching this unfold pretty much everywhere else with little disruption to my weekend and a Sunday afternoon flight from PIT to sunny California.

So do you think forecasters will finally take the Nam seriously with this storm? Latest I saw in that model put the Harrisburg area in the bullseye with ridiculous amounts but GFS and Euro (last I head) were not agreeing. Is that really the case or a false alarm?
