Marylands QB had over 100 yards rushing on us. We have all week to prepare and know we have to stop NW's QB from running all over us like Marylands did. I looked at the rankings NW is 46 in rushing offense, but only he 119th in passing Offense.
HELLO, what should this tell you. Load the box, play aggressive against the run, especially the QB run which kills us, And play a tough man coverage against there 119th pathetic passing game. I'm sure our corners are skilled enough to play man against NW's WR's. I saw too much of that old soft zone against Maryland, and it really hurt us. In our preparations, we should establish very strong run defenses, and challenge them to beat us thru the air.
Considering NW's strong and weak points, does that not sound like a a good defensive philosophy to stop them.
