132: Colin Cronin (Upper Darby) lost to Lucase Schaf (Emmaus), 7-5 OT in R1
132: Garrett Kyner (Chambersburg) lost to Jack Hinkson (North Allegheny), 3-1 in R1
138: Trent Hidlay (Mifflin County) lost to Dylan Chatterton (Central York), by pin at 1:16
138: Demetri DOrsaneo (Owen J. Roberts) lost to Dom Giannangeli (Franklin Regional), 3-1 OT in R1

Tough start for the Southeast Regional, with Cronin, DOrsaneo, Barth, and Shalinsky falling in R1 of Class AAA. I just posted about Cronin yesterday with him being the only person to pin Sean Lee in a match (a long time ago). Diceman mentioned that Cronin had a tough draw, though I felt that if he faltered it was more likely to be in R2.

Faust went 0-2 and is out. Both of his opponents were in pigtails. Word was Faust left regionals gimpy with a bad ankle.
Cronin also went 0-2, lost 9-3 in consis.
The biggest upset of Day 1, by far: state runner-up Josh Giorgio (Schuylkill Valley) lost 3-1 OT to Mike Bartolo (Reynolds). Giorgio didn't make Tom's list because he was regional runner-up to state champ Korbin Myers.
In less fortunate news: Northampton's Mike Scheetz lost by DQ and was ejected. He took a swing at his opponent near the end of the match (was losing 9-2 at the time). DQ on the spot. Scheetz then refused to shake hands, and continued to refuse even after the ref warned of an ejection. So the ref grabbed Scheetz by the wrist, forced them to shake hands, and then tossed Scheetz from the tourney.
