Super bowl commercials are terrible thus far (nfm)

They are every year.
Biggest trick in history, convincing people that they are good.
This is not to refute the OPs point, but the purpose of an ad is not for the viewer to think that it was a great ad.
I have not paid attention to the ads tonight, but that's my beef with a lot of the past Super Bowl ads: they might be funny or amusing, but I couldn't even recall what product the ad was for.
Well, I for one, I am no longer gonna hate.
I did notice the Martha Stewart ad, and it was horrible. Showing an older person doing impossibly athletic things is such a worn out tactic. Not to mention that she's a nasty person. And I don't even know what product the ad was for.
Breast cancer awareness did indeed get my attention to the point.
Martha is one of those celebs who can't hang it up and thus go lower and lower as they age.
Next she will be doing porn.

I make a point to take a nap after stopping the game before it starts and let the DVR build up and then fast forward thru all the commericals. Muted Brady after I determined that he is as consistent a motor mouth as Aikman so I wouldn't have heard what was said in the commercials anyway..........

Yep. It seems about a third of them are more about being preachy in some way rather than actually selling a product. They’ve certainly gone downhill over the years from when SuperBowl ads used to be funny and compete for best ad each year.
