So was reading an op-ed by George F Will about freedom of speech on college campuses. He was using Purdue as a good example of how universities should encourage free speech, not restrict it. As part of his edification of Purdue he stated it was a top engineering school and graduated the third most bachelor's degrees of all public research universities in the STEM fields behind only Penn State and Texas A&M.
He is widely read and it is good that many people will be learning something they probably didn't know about Penn State.
