Two of my old wrestling buddies and myself enjoyed this evenings festivities and between the three of us we observed some things I'm sure most of you also saw.

125- Great battle between two studs. We thought Nico needs to drop in on that right leg without a tie at some point. Very well could have been stopped for potentially dangerous prior to the winning takedown. Gilman vs Nico will be close.

133- Great motor. JC is kinda a throwback wrestler. Beats people with guts and hustle. We all agree he is the sort of kid you want on your team. Solid and will AA this year. He has that fight you need in wrestle backs.

141- Well.... great game plan. He seems to go to the mat on his finish too early. When he beat Clark last year he finished by staying on his feet longer. I think he could use Frank the tank's high single finish. We think he tries to finish shots like a long guy, and that isn't who he is. His shaped looked good and the effort is there. Could AA but must learn to finish a bit better imo.

149- Wow. I love BS, but we don't feel too secure in our chances against Zain. Complete and brutal in all three positions. Probably a sure fire champion if he remains healthy. Might have been a four timer had he redshirted.

157- Tom Ryan sent his son out to not wrestle, and he made daddy proud. The lung timeout...errr...concussion protocol was a joke. Nolf is fast and relentless and remains a treat to watch. I do think the Ryan kid is a pretty solid wrestler and Nolf made him look slow and clumsy. I love the foot sweep to a single action Nolf uses. His misdirection is great too. What can you say? Jason Nolf

165- Great effort from Geno and he never backed down. Bo knew he was in a match. Bo looks much better without the surf boy hair imo. I'm not sure who you guys should send to BIG, but this guy is legit. Rasheed creates more potential bonus and probably has better upside, but he isn't tougher. Geno is another throwback kind of guy. Solid.

174- Bo knows scrambling. Way advanced in mat smarts for a freshman. Great job of getting the riding time and then putting the finishing touches on late. Familiarity kept this close as Martin certainly knew where not to go at the right times. You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off the old lone ranger and you sure as hell don't tie upper body with Bo.

184- Time warp. Mouse is yet another old school relentless hammer type of wrestler. The sort of kid Gable used to recruit and win titles with. Keeps coming forward and taking ground. Strong as an ox. Great ride late that he maintained with hustle and guts. Another guy we all agreed we would want on our team. He has a little Keith Gavin style to him.

197- World class athlete. Fast and furious. Wanted to see his bow and arrow and almost did. He is better this year. Bigger and stronger. Finally looks like a 197. Can't wait to see him tangle with Cox.

285- Snyder is a stud. What really can you say?

Nice writeup. 125 at Bigs and Nationals gonna be worth the price of admission. Can't wait to see Gilman against Nico and NaTo.

Excellent write up, just got home from BJC and it was well worth the price of admission. As will MSG in March. Look forward to making some new friends in NYC.

I will be in Iowa city for the BIG, but skipping NCAA this year. I will be glued to the tv and computer to watch all of the action. I have been to 8 of the last 10 NCAA so this sucks, but just not in the cards this year. I would have loved to have been there last night. I skipped going to senior night in Iowa City to watch this live on tv. i have been labeled a traitor by some, but oh well.
