Well, his talent and ability make him incredibly valuable to his family. My point is that people do stuff as a stepping stone for their families and legacies. What TB does will fund his great great great great grand kids. Sometimes you have to do stuff you normally wouldn’t do because you are compelled to do so.
i think TB loves to play. I think he has plenty of opportunity to be close to his family regardless of the time he takes to prepare and play. But his point is that being a player comes with sacrifice.
I’ve traveled my entire life. As a result, I never got a chance to coach my kids sports and missed a lot of events. I try to make up for it when home. On the other hand, my kids love it when I use miles to fly them to places, get upgraded to first class and get the corner suite at the Marriott. They never had to borrow to pay their tuition and will probably inherit a nice sum at some point.
that doesn’t mean I don’t whine about it sometimes. I’ve made my choices and and happy overall. But I missed opportunities as a result.
