No better place than this board. A few weeks ago I was researching phone services. Opened a particular site, never went any further. Now when I go to my home page as well as other sites their ads appear on the same page. How do I get rid of them? Thank you

Clear your cookies and browsing history.

Install uBlock Origin to your browser to block ads on all sites.

Install Malwarebytes, run a scan and get rid of any malware on your system.

You should be set.

Go into your browser, find your history, and you should be able to delete cookies there. What browser do you use? Chrome, IE, etc?

Turn your computer off, then turn it back on again.

I use Ghostery, a plugin for chrome. It block a ton of ads and trackers. There are times when I have to pause it to get through to some sites, but it's easy to manage.

switch to Chrome....it is much, much better

And then switch to firefox when you get tired of adblockers on chrome not blocking ads.
