Temple's best pass rusher may not play on Saturday

If really true, that just means Tyler Matakevich will need to play extra dirty. He's known as a "knee targeter" and our players need to be on the alert for his crap.

Why does my "gut" tell me this may be some hi jinx by Ruhue or a big exaggeration.
Because if its true thats a bigger development for them than Breneman not being available for us.

LOL. It's because we sports fans tend to be a paranoid and suspicious lot. It's not as if CJF is going to prepare the team any differently based on that report, so Rhule must know that leaking a false report like that will have absolutely no impact on the game, so there is probably some shred of truth there. I'll prepare emotionally for Martin-Oguike to play at full speed, and be pleasantly surprised if he's less than 100%.

A coach I remember always said you want your opponent to play his best. I hope he plays the whole game.

He's been banged up for the entire lead up to this game. While he may play, I really doubt this is some sort of elaborate lie.

Rhule is classy, a Penn Stater. Lying about an injury is not something he would do.

It sounds like even if Martin-Oguike plays he will not be anywhere close to 100%. As Rhule notes, the game they really need to win isn't PSU, it's Cincinnati the following week -- to have any hope of a bowl.

This is could be a nice break for our offensive line.

Also notice how we ran all over Temple last year in a year where we weren't able to run on anyone.

47 carries for 254 yards. 5.4 yard average.

I *think* that was the first game we had miles back on the line. Smith also played very well, I remember him just absolutely mauling some guy on one of the long td runs (can't recall if it was lynch or belton).

Lets not forget who is paying Rhule now.
