For winning a key match last night and shutting down the multiple "we should have pursued Pletcher harder" threads that would have been started here by the po-faced members of our community.

You know the fingers were ready on the keyboards for another round of second guessing

Jimmy continues to roll! That was a good win after giving up the first TD. I would have loved to have seen him finish the single leg he had up in the air in the first period. That's a position he's got to find a way to finish more often if he's going to go deep at NCAAs.

Still think the 1st period TD awarded was a complete joke - first of all, he was never completely behind Jimmy with any kind of control - he had 2 hands on Jimmy's neck/shoulders from the side, which Jimmy "shrugged" as he went behind....that is not a TD.

Did anyone else notice that VinJo was clearly annoyed with the Official at end of his match for not making his opponent wrestle and let the Official know it while he was leaving mat after raising his hand? VinJo clearly thought his opponent was stalling to avoid giving up bonus and was pissed at how bout was officiated.

Great win... but Pletcher would be looking good at 133 for PSU right now.

He would for sure especially given that he appears to be a natural 33 lber and given PSU's current situation at the weight. Personally, I think it came down to Scholie offer (i.e., $$$) given that Pletch is from Latrobe. PSU almost certainly gave Hall a full-ride and probably just didn't have the ability to match what daO$U offered - given that Pletch was the star of daO$U's recruiting class, who knows how much they offered... Maybe PSU simply didn't have the $$$ to keep him in Pennsy.

Only about 3-4 members of the community believe we needed Pletch, one is the kids uncle. Thought we recruited him pretty hard, he choose a hunting cabin, we settled for Nick Lee, I'm ok with it regardless of Gulibon. I know you get it Chickenman, just wanted to state that.

Yup - we'll somehow muddle along ;)

Yes. Thought after Carpenter got hit for stalling that the consistency would stick around and I agree with you... VinJo stalked his guy the entire time all over the mat.
- Jimmy - good match... He seemed very comfortable with the match (knowing opponent?) as he never went into the high energy 'got to get a takedown' mode. Agree about the TD but there are a lot of folks who don't finish all the time (Bo let one get away as well the last few weeks). I like how Jimmy approached the match, didn't get stuck on the bottom, rode hard, and got his TDs when he needed them. Wish he would have worked harder for 2 in the 3rd.

Agree with the last sentence. Did others think he got on his horse a little early?
