Thanks to the Penn State Football Team

Yeah it really sucks to have your season end in the semi finals for the National Championship clown.
Accomplished exactly what? Did not win conference or CCG (both winnable). Beat a couple of ~25-40 teams and lost to a banged up Notre Dame team that lost a game to a MAC team on its home field?

I guess we have that big home win against Illinois to remember fondly.

They will NEVER get such an easy run to this point. But we did not have a team prepared to win a tough game as our WR production was historically bad.

Another season without a win against a team with equal talent or better than ours.

Time to give someone else to get a crack at it as this was very predictable.

Time for some accountability.

I agree with the original poster. Great job by the team this year! A lot to be proud of! If any of you players are reading this, don't let the negativity here get to you. Very few people are capable of what you guys did this year.

Definitely agree with that sentiment. Drew had a bad game - it happens. He gave it everything he had, so he has nothing to feel bad about. I'm sure it will motivate the guys coming back next year.

Honestly, the players played their hearts out, so I want to thank them for a great game and a great season. Not the ending I wanted for them, but they deserve praise for their efforts.
Yeah this board is sometimes a really sad commentary on the state of football fans. Your team makes the final four out of 135 teams, and all people want to do is whine and be unhappy.

Totally agree! What an amazing season and a wild ride!

Proud of theses guys!

Need to figure out how I can contribute to the PSU NIL fund, because that’s the future.

They were gifted an easy run…over seeded and has an easier set-up than the #1 team in country.

Made it Final 4 without a signature win.

And exited still without one.

It will be decades before they are that fortunate again.

And they did NOTHING with all that good fortune.

Other than further cementing the new brand image of PSU football: undisciplined, showboating, mentally soft football. And poorly coached.

So OSU made it into the tournament with one signature win. Penn State. Time to fire their coach as well. Maybe our coach and theirs should trade jobs.

Hey, Bud, step back and take a look around. There are people who are facing real problems in the world. This is not a problem.

Here’s a detailed breakdown why you don’t have the necessary intelligence and critical thinking skills to be a functional member of society. Reality is, starting in 1993, losing to a team we had no business losing to (better personnel/ worse record) had become the biggest Penn State tradition. It’s very frustrating, but, it’s clear the program is in the best shape since 1994. Ryan Day gets a lot of crap, but OSU is better under him than any other time since 1993 - the Urban Meyer teams had big upsets against them, and Michigan had their best run ever from 2021-2023.

1993- 8-4 Michigan
1994- none
1995- Wisky and Northwestern
1996- Iowa
1997- MSU with 2 200 yard rushers
1998- Wisky
1999- Minnesota at home, ranked #1
2000- to many to list including 24-0 to Toledo at home
2001- same
2002- Iowa
2003- too many to list
2004- Same, 6-4 to Iowa
2005 - 5 loss Michigan
2006- Wisconsin, boat raced by OSU and ND
2007 - 7-6 MSU
2008- Iowa, undefeated and a week after beating OSU in Columbus
2009 - Iowa (Iowa was 11-2, but lost to a terrible Northwestern team)
2010- 7-6 Illinois
2011- Houston
2012- Ohio, UVA
2013- UCF, Indiana
2014- Northwestern, Indiana, Illinois
2015- Temple
2016- Pitt
2017- MSU
2018- MSU
2019- Minnesota
2020- COVID
2021- Illinois
2022- None
2023- None
2024- None
