"Penn State’s inclusion here is no mystery. The Sandusky scandal rocked the Nittany Lion fan base, and while the program has bounced back in a big way as of late, winning the Big Ten and making multiple big bowls, there hasn’t been a huge shift in the way the program is viewed by the casual fan."

Seek and ye shall find. Andrew Holleran is another 20-something year old wiener who graduated from Ohio State. And another in a long line of tool bags who digs list journalism.

I like that Texas is so big and so full of hate that both of their premier programs are in the list, and neither are even that good these days.

We wear the black hat now. Wearing the white hat did us no good when we needed a lift.

Embrace the hate. The more they hate us, the more we are winning. There's no point being a lovable loser.

Yep. Used to take great pride in things like Joe telling the QB to take a knee at the end of a game even though another TD was essentially a sure thing. Now I say, as long as we're not cheating, go for it. That's why the time out at the end of the GA St. game didn't bother me in the least. I'm not necessarily proud of what I've become but I really couldn't care less what others think.

I'll admit that there is something that I've always hated about Texas (love Austin). Seeing them down for years now has brought me genuine joy.

Had I taken the time to look into this before posting I wouldn't have shared. Just saw it on reddit and figured it would lead to some spirited discussion around here. Will make sure to do further digging in the future.

Notre Dame should be first place by a lot. Insufferable, entitled, arrogant fan base for a program that has been irrelevant for 30 years.

Alabama simply reflects the hidden but obvious belief that the SEC is nothing more than minor league of the NFL. None of those players set foot in a classroom, or write their own papers, or even care about the pretense of being a student. Alabama is the poster child of that model.

F them.

Here here!! Couldn’t agree more. Being the good guy gets you no points, and probably did us out of a NC or two.

Love it that we are hated. Let’s get to #1 most hated team. Just win baby!!

We’re better off being hated and feared then loved and shit on. If we keeping wining and recuiting top classes we will probably go up on that list.Which is fine by me.

Surprised that USC, Miami and Oklahoma are not on the list.

That's because Miami and Oklahoma haven't been relevant in quite a while. I bet 20 years ago The U tops the list.

If you think this hatred for us is new or due to the scandal, see 1994. The hate was so strong that the western Pa writers wouldn't even vote for the home state school, therefore handing Neb. the MNC.

Is that a fact? If so, it makes zero sense. There are plenty of yinzers among the PSU alumni population.
