Coaches with a clue realize that fact. Ferentz is on tape laughing at his fool assistant coach flopping in mockery in that 2021 game. He did so at length.
Can you imagine any top tier coach not grabbing his assistant on the sideline by the neck and dressing his stupid ass down in a similar situation. I can't. Ferentz is oblivious to certain instincts, traits and elements essential to quality leadership.

I like that Chop was not even at PSU but felt that needed some atonement on how PJ and AK were treated. Friendships and legacy matter at PSU. Ferentz and IA pig$h1t fans got it

It’s crazy Iowa made such a thing about it in the first place. They deserved to have this boomerang on them.
Our 2 best players (PJ and Brisker) and our most irreplaceable player (Clifford) go down with injuries and they accuse them of flopping. Ferentz even reiterated it after the game. The whole thing was bizarre.

Don't you remember? These were faked injuries that slowed down one of the nation's top hurry-up offenses run by that offensive mastermind Brian Ferentz. The Iowa fan reaction was likely due to too much exposure to paraquat in the farm fields.

I don't know when we play them again but hopefully soon.
I think Ferentz overestimated what he had in '21. They got shot up to #3 early and they beat us mainly by playing field position until our defense got tired. To KF, that probably seemed like this powerful win that would springboard them.
Then Purdue comes in and throws all over them to the tune of 31-7 and this magical season is shattered. They drop a couple more and the crys to get rid of his son regain their steam.
Throw in the scandal crap with the S&C coach, the portal (Charlie Jones leaves and catches a blue-zillion passes, gets drafted), gambling, KFs age...this is an unhappy bunch. Add conference expansion and no weak West division going forward and you are looking at a future of 7th place finishes.

The cry by decent Iowa fans I call friends should be it is time to clean house and start with fresh leadership. Just replacing junior will not right the ship as your list of negatives reveals. A slim majority of my Iowa fan friends feel that way. The rest believe just dumping Jr will do the trick.
One thing for sure, the corn grows slowly in Iowa. .
Some Iowa fans are even saying they want said assistant to replace Ferentz.
Actions have consequences.
It's a good thing they played so uptempo last week. Otherwise they might not have hit 50 yards of offense.
