Francis and his friends are directly equivalent to the Pharisees of 2,000 years ago: a privileged caste of religious leaders who curry favor with the powerful and teach a superficial brand of moral truth that is far from the Kingdom of God. If Christ came back tomorrow, they would likewise drag him before the lords of the World and demand his crucifixion. No question in my mind.
It's bad enough to have to watch your country defiled by forces that hate and seek to overturn its history, traditions, and values. But for a faithful Catholic, things are even worse as we have to watch the same tragic process unfold in our Church...though granted, it all started even before Francis appeared on the scene.
