The Duke finger bent as it hit the ball. Why can't refs see that on replay?

Re: The Duke finger bent as it hit the ball. can't refs see that on replay?

I quit watching - the fix is in if they can't make that call correctly with review.

Much like football replay- they do all they can to rationalize how not to overturn their call. That was clearly Wisconsin ball. The ncaa needs to go the NHL route and review it offsite. It would be quicker and generally more correct IMO.

it's that "moment"

when you watch any replay and the foot hits the oob white or the ground or whatever... but in those replays there is a freeze frame moment where you want to stop the frame and call the idiots over and say.. okay, retards, is the finger touching the ball or not... is the toe on the chalk.. is the ball on the ground...

we all see it clear as a bell.. but for whatever reason, the refs get caught up in this over-turn thing and ignore the simplest of truths.

did it there.

but it's duke.. what'd anyone expect?

I don't know how it all works...

...but there is something wrong when the TV replay shows clear as day that the call should go one way and then the officials review and it goes the other.

They definitely missed the call on the replay. It was very clear that Okafor's finger bent from touching the ball. That was an easy call. With just over a minute to play and Wisky down four, that needs to be Wisky ball. However, one or two plays don't define whether you win or lose a game. The game was 40 minutes long and there were plenty of opportunities. Wisky was up nine in the second half and Duke came storming back. The same thing happened in the first. Decker was awful all night, they had trouble getting the ball to their best player in the post when the Duke big man was both out and in the game in foul trouble, and they passed up open shots all night. That's what really did Wisconsin in.
