The Good Guys did bad...but might still somehow squeeze out control of both houses of Congress

The House looks to be in the bag...though not nearly by the margins the GOP had hoped.

And now there's a shot to actually take the Senate as well. In fact, I'd make it 50-50. We need Laxalt to hold on to his 2-point lead in Nevada as the ballots there are counted at the pace of molasses in January.

And then we need my man Herschel to score a touchdown on December 6. I mean, the fundamentals are in place for that to happen. Georgia is still a conservative state at the end of the day.

It hasn't been a lot of fun these past 16 hours, but it would be nice to get the last laugh.

While I doubt that Walker would win a runoff, even if we got there, I will say that the thought of adding to the potential meme library (you know, like this one - https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/182/659/8e3.jpg) is a thought that I enjoy thinking about.

Speaking of which, my latest harebrained moneymaking scheme is to put together a coffee table book called "Meme People: Where are They Now?" I'd research what has become of women like the one in the link (did she grow her hair out and get contacts so as to not scare off dates) or that poor University of Michigan student from some years back (probably doing research or coding in a basement somewhere), and write up their stories, with "Then and Now" pictures.

Sounds like a good retirement project for you, Aard.

That is such a good idea that people are already doing it; albeit, not a coffee table book.
