For those that don't know, Trace McSorley missed the B/W game and there was no announcement. There was rampant speculation regarding injury or discipline. CJF said today that he had a meningitis scare and was being tested. Apparently, a close friend had come down with it. Great news is that he was cleared.

Good to hear. Assuming Hack is healthy and effective, would you want to use McSorley for a Wildcat play or two, or even a whole series? And maybe some late game mop-up with the outcome safe?

I was going to give you a "like" for this post but then I thought that might be a little weird since it was such a serious health issue. I'm glad it worked out ok.
So thanks for the info.

Hopefully will have an opportunity for significant 4th quarter reps in the first 6 games ( as well as a few wildcat plays throughout).

It can't hurt giving him some playing time this year whenever possible. Others will disagree, but any game experience would be beneficial assuming Hack is gone after this year, or God forbid he gets injured and has to miss some time this year. Certainly late in games that are well under control, or even as you suggest with maybe some packages designed for him from time to time. JMO.

I would LOVE to see a few games that are over by the 3rd quarter and give McSorley some time. If all goes as planed we "should" have 2-3 games like that in the first six.

I did give him a like because I like the news and I like the fact that it cleared the air on the issue.

Just as DL, OL, RB and others get a blow so should QBs! A series in the 2nd and early 3rd quarter would be good; If 3-4 TD lead, use starting with 4th quarter.

That meningitis scare rumor was actually floating around on the boards and onTwitter right after the Blue White game. Amazing how those rumors more often than not turn out to be true.

They should defintely try to get him some experience during the non conference schedule.
