The last years of Snake Stabler......

I lived and breathed the Raiders during my childhood. Let me tell you, Central PA was a tough place to be a Raider fan in the 70's. I love Franco but to this day the "Immaculate Reception" still gives me flashbacks to the trauma.

The NFL is a hell of a way to make a living. Mining coal and making steel are safer.
Same here (my brother too)--though I was in eastern PA. When they moved, I was done with them. Used to know a guy in my church who's uncle was Dan Conner (out of St. Mary's PA). He had some stories about getting to go to training camp, etc....

My favorite players were Vilipiano and Marv Hubbard.

My uncle knew Jack Ham and convinced him to call me (12yrs old) and harass me about being a Raider fan.

I liked George Blanda--and the mad Bomber, Darryl Lamonica

It was hard not to like the Snake. He was so cool under pressure.
