According to sources, 2024 DE/DT Benedict Umeh who was previously looked upon as a Penn State lean is now leaning heavily towards Stanford. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise as our staff here at Happy Valley has been adamant that we won't submit a futurecast until after this visit as this could play a factor and from the sound of it, this has.
Another name that was previously considered a Penn State lean, but is now leaning elsewhere is Deyvid Palepale, who visited USC this past weekend and appears to be leaning towards the Trojans now with a decision expected to come VERY soon. This move would cause Penn State to start to look elsewhere for DT help in the class. Regardless I think this could turn into a Mason Robinson type situation where he could commit elsewhere, but realize Penn State is the best fit prior to signing day.
Next up is 2024 wide receiver Nick Marsh who went to Michigan State this weekend and according to reports they tried to $ell him on the program. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise since he was previously committed to Michigan State back in July 2022 and was committed to the program for nine months before opening things back up.
Finally the good news here is that Friendship Academy (DC) defensive lineman DeAndre Cook continue to lean towards Penn State with a decision this weekend.
