Penn State has to deal with local “reporters” like David Jones who probably had his wedding ceremony at the Horseshoe. Or “homers” who voted Nebraska #1 in 1994 over the first undefeated Big 10 team in 26 years.

I'm exhibit A. I went over there and remined neutral all along, and was banned, simply because people knew that I wasn't a Sqwawker fan, even though I posted nothing that was incendiary against them.

You mad? Normally when something is posted here about Iowa it's to trash them. Ban posted a link to a positive story about a future Hawkeye on a Penn State forum. I thought it was interesting he posted that here.

Do a search on HR and find a post (other than my very first post, where I did joke about Gilburg slamming Waters in that one match) where I initiated, not replied to someone attacking me first, but I initiated an incendiary post on there and copy it into this thread.

I didn't get too many posts in on that forum, so your search won't take very long. I'm also not going to hold my breath, as I'm an honest man and would freely tell you that I posted something incendiary, which is why I'm giving you this opportunity to prove me wrong.

What happens on HR is the same thing that happens at Scarlet Nation - the mods bend to people that barrage them with complaints about a poster. I'm guessing the mods here don't get the same kind of pressure. I know I've never contacted a mod here, no matter how offensive someone is being.

I have no interest in participating in a whine to the moderator fest. I try not to be an inhospitable ass to posters from other boards (teams). I am not always successful, but i try and generally I think I succeed.
Other than guns and spyker the only posters I have put on ignore are "sandusky" clowns.

Your moderator was FORCED to create a thread telling you and your fellow Hawkeye fans to quit being such whiners and grow thicker skin. I was banned twice...not 6 times. And your mod will admit it was for no other reason but to shut you whiny b****** up for awhile. I think it is a good article. What I got from it is that Warner is a good kid from a good family who is also very talented and wants to be the best. Nolf, Nickal and Hall had the same goals. I guess that I've just seen one too many "sure things" in this sport not living up to the hype to have grown a bit cynical with "the next big thing."

As but one example, when I was still posting on HR, there was one or two guys, after Lee's first couple of matches, already declaring that he'd never lose in his career.

Well, that didn't take too long to completely disintegrate.
