It's exciting times in the Big Ten.

Ohio State has a great coach and he is an even better recruiter. Look at the classes he has brought in and it's a top 5 class already this year.

Michigan is going to be good again. Harbaugh has already proven he can get it done on the field and he has a top 10 recruiting class.

Michigan State has proven they are near the top with what their coaching staff has done the last few years. They don't get nearly enough credit considering their recruiting classes hang just inside or out of the top 25 and this year so far they have a top 5 class.

I love everything James Franklin has done at Penn State so far. His recruiting classes have been strong and I like what I see so far this year on the recruiting trail. The bottom line will be whether or not James can beat Urban, Harbaugh and D'Antoni on the field. Year 2 Is a critical year for a coach. A lot of variables went into last year with a struggling offensive line, lack of depth at every position and a team having to learn another new system. Although I will say the losses to Michigan, Maryland and Illinois left me scratching my head considering how bad those teams were.

To me anything less than 9-3 will be disappointing especially as weak as the schedule is. PSU has a Junior 3rd year starting QB who many of the so called gurus have as the #1 pick in next years NFL draft. There is so much talent at WR and TE along with a descent amount of experience. There is talent at RB and an OL that is another year older, stronger and more acclimated to the system.

Plus, I see this years defense even better than last years if that is even possible.

PSU also has the right footed version of Sabastian Janikowski as their kicker.

9-3 and no reason to realistically not go 10-2.
