The rare 1-point Safety?

Weird play all around. If Oregon recovered the fumble it would have been two points on a blocked extra point.
 
Yes, there was one a few years ago in a college game which was the first time I saw it.
I remember that happening also. At that time, I did not think you could score 1 point without a touchdown in front of it. But you can.
 
ink it has to do with the conversion play (PAT or 2PT conversion) being a dead ball play. A close relative to the 2-point conversion interception return by Andre Collins in the 89? Holiday Bowl.

NO - watch the play. The D blocked the point but returned it (negatively) into their own end zone.
