I grew up in Cleveland and it is shocking how far the Browns have fallen. Horrible team, horrible management and yesterday a half-empty stadium -- probably partly due to political controversies and NFL. Why watch a crummy team, if you also disagree with their politics? In the past, I think that fans would have shown up in much greater numbers to show their loyalty. A lot of that loyalty is long gone.

This is an amazing stat. Epitome of a work horse.

He had not missed a snap for the Browns since he was taken third overall in the 2007 draft, a streak of 10,363 consecutive plays that the team said is unprecedented in NFL history.

I coached for over 25 years and played 7th - senior year. I don't know that all those teams have had 10,000 snaps combined.

What's an even crazier stat is that since like week 5 of 2014. Johhny manziel has as many wins as the Cleveland QB as the rest of the 9 starting QBs for the browns have combined.

2 (TWO) ....

Cleveland is a shit show right now (and has been) . No one has a clue what they're doing in that organization. Every year it's the same thing... GOTTA DRAFT A QB!. While the rest of their team blows ass. Maybe it's not the QB? They've had like 30 of them.

Former Niners tight end Brent Jones was on San Francisco's local sports radio talk show (KNBR 680) the other day, and the subject turned to the Browns. Jones' comment? "Cavs Smoked, Indians choked, and Browns a joke." Ouch...

Half?

And, their QB from ND was out until 1:30am the day before a game. LOL

There is a problem with that?

Myron Cope told the story about being called early Sunday morning by a friend who had seen Bobby Layne earlier that morning at a bar. The friend told him to bet the other team because not only couldn't Layne talk, he could hardly walk.

If I remember correctly he threw for 4 or 5 TD's.

While amazing, how can you have a streak of 10,363 plays when you only play half of the game (if that when you're on the Browns)?

I could see them really improving in the next few years. In the salary cap era, all of those draft picks will be huge.

The browns....the only team that plays football at any level that could take Trent Richardson and turn him into a garbage back.

Sorry, but Trent Richardson is a garbage back because he's a garbage back. When you can only memorize 3 plays, its tough to be good.

Thing is, none of those 30 QBs have gone on to be any good at all anywhere else. So while QB isn't the only problem, its also clear they've had no good QBs along the way either.

I think they're doing the right thing right now. Load up on talent away from QB, then once you have everything in place, get the franchise QB. If you get the franchise QB first, then he makes you just good enough to not get great draft picks anymore, thus hampering your ability to fill out talent across the roster (see, Andrew Luck & Colts). So you need to get everything in place so that once you add the QB, you take off (see, Steelers 2005-present).

Is this part of their 30 year rebuilding plan? Haha... just giving you a hard time so don’t get all pissy at me.

Hey I've been a Steelers fan all my life so no offense taken.

Like I told Pirates fans in 2011...just because they were doing it wrong for 20 years doesnt mean they aren't doing it right now.

Like Myron sang one Christmas, " Deck those Brownies, they're just clownies, ga ga ga ga ga ga ga gaaaaaa."
