There are no words to describe the debt that all true Penn Staters owe you "Super Six". You arrived during the darkest of times. You stayed! You persevered when many others bailed. You gave it your all and then some when others didn't. You endured through all the BS that was heaped upon you for no reason at all. You played your asses off for a university who you owed nothing to. You never gave up and you showed us all what true dedication, commitment, passion, emotion, and love is for our university. You make us so proud that you all have a chance to reap the many benefits of that sacrifice. It is on your shoulders, and many others, that We are where We are! None of us can ever repay the debt we all owe you as the Penn State story begins a new volume. But it is your volume that has catapulted a heralded program back to the position it so deserves in CFB. You should have your names etched on the ring of honor! You are legends and always will be. Incredible the contribution you have made and I only wish that your life is filled with just rewards.

May you be carried off the field Saturday in Triumph on the shoulders of your teammates! Thank you.

Nicely written and so true. This should appear in the Centre Daily Times, as well as major PA newspapers. I hope it's gist does. It really doesn't matter who writes it, including Cory Geiger.

Please delete your term "super six". It has negative connotations to a different group, some of whom were locker room cancers.

May I add, a level integrity, maturity, and responsibility, shown to our school as leaders of a Grand Experiment, that some alleged adults were unable to comprehend. I wish you the best, be the example, and live your life well; For The Glory. Senior class 2016.

21Guns, with all due respect, there is a difference between Supa 6 and Super Six. The Morris, Smith, Barnes, Amos, Carter, Belton bunch was loyal to Joe and god bless them.

Smith left a year early, routinely took plays off, and was a locker room cancer. Barnes left a year early taking the advice of Larry Johnson, then never made an active roster. Carter made tweets last year questioning Franklin, and Belton complained off the field, and did not get along well with Hackenberg ON the field.

With all due respect, the six players you are mentioning deserve a name that clears them entirely from the "Supa Six", who separated themselves from the rest of the team, and divided team unity.

Bumped this to ask those who went to the MSU game in person whether (and how) these guys (i.e., Dowrey, Gaia, Golden, Laurent, Schwan, and Wartman) were honored before the game. Don't recall any mention of it on the TV broadcast.

they got a little pub but story still sensitive in some places and to some people who do not know the full context. be prepared for the haters to be out in full force if the team continues to win.

There were 16 seniors introduced before the game, including student trainers, etc... They were introduced one by one. Coach Franklin was standing there to congratulate each one. Those six were not singled out in any special way. Brandon Bell, Greg Garrity Jr., Vonn Walker, and Paris Palmer were four of the others introduced.
