Iowa confirmed precisely what all the top college analysts said.... - Iowa would have been steamrolled by PSU had Clifford not had to leave the game after only 18 minutes with PSU already leading 17-3.... The Squakeyes laid another in a long line of offensive turds.... IOW, Iowa was precisely who everyone said they were - a complete pretender who was extremely fortunate that Clifford had to leave the game with barely more than a quarter completed.

I'm guessing Iowa drops to like #12.

Still say the best part of last night is how far behind PSU the turdeyes are going to fall in polls. Funny how many of the major college football pundits picked up on how bad Iowa looked while Cliff was in the game and flat out stated that Iowa was a pretender at #2.... and then the Purdue game looked like a replay of the first 18 minutes of the PSU-Iowa game. LMAO, all these people saying Iowa played a bad game are incorrect, Iowa played their typical game.

I'm thinking they won't go very far, maybe 9 or 10. For some reason the pollsters love them. "it was just a hangover from the big win over PSU" will be the rationale from the talking heads.

I don't know - the Squackeyes just proved "they are" precisely what everyone outside of bumphuck Iowa thought they were.... complete pretenders.

S/b in the 11-15 range. Getting manhandled at home, this was their bye-bye week before next week’s bye week.

Two weeks from now they head to Madison for their next loss!

And Oklahoma State.

They will be second ten. Coming into the Purdue game, the Squackeyes were ranked 120th out of 130 FBS teams in Total Offense averaging only 317.5 YPG. They only put up 271 yards of offense against Purdue..... so there's that. Then you have the fact that PSU was kicking the crap out of Iowa for the first 18 minutes of the game building a 17-3 lead before Cliff got hurt.... and Purdue adopted an offensive gameplan that looked identical to PSU's gameplan - pass oriented attacking the soft zones and seams of Iowa's defense....

Pretty clear, just as many of the leading CFB analysts pointed out, that Iowa likely loses - and loses badly - if Clifford doesn't go down with injury 18 minutes into the game with PSU leading 17-3 and having amassed 200 yards of offense.... and then the Squackeyes went out and unequivocally proved every single thing they said (awful offense - one of the absolute worst in FBS - and a pass defense susceptible to a well-schemed, quality passing attack...) against Purdue. Nope, the Squackeyes are dropping like a rock after getting blown out the exact way anyone who watched the PSU game said they would.
