United overbooked the flight....offered up to $800 with no takers to walk off the plane....then United arbitrarily chose who to remove. Wow!
Offering another $500 on top of the $800 would be chicken feed compared to what United will pay to defend or payoff the guy. And the cost of the negative publicity?
