Like him or not, I think Coach is seeing what a lot already know........kids playing football that wouldn't sniff the University if they were just "plain Joe" applicants. The $'s are huge for the Universities and if they truly face up to this, the term "student athlete" is going to have a significantly different meaning and be treated differently than a non-athlete. Maybe Kelly was forced to have to speak out like this, but I admire his honesty and feel it may begin to further erode the charade of BIG $$'s College football and student educations.
