So I was asked to assist in cleaning a lab area at work to prep for an upcoming audit, and because it needed to be done. I needed a vac to suck up some dust. What did the lab have for a vacuum? A Rigid Shop vac. For those who read the shop vac thread, I can second that the Rigid Vac sucks because it has no suction.

Please feel free to add any experiences in real life that reminded you of this board. You can leave the Florida retirement memories out unless you have pics...On second thought, just leave those out.

On first thought will include the FL memory. Moved to FL, knew no one, this board introduced me to FL area alumni. Thank you board.

Last week I visited a very cool cave which is located on an island outside of Puerto Vallerta. I thought about a (former) board member who gave a little too much information. Every single time I have seen or heard about a cave for the last 15 years I think about this board member.

So the cave was actually in Austin, Texas?

I am somewhat embarrassed to admit this, but there was an event at which I was the featured speaker. The engagement was to conclude with a Q&A session, and there were definitely board members present. Well the Q&A got a little intense; I got a little hot under the collar, and I found myself speaking to them in a tone that one might use to lecture a group of petulant children. And then to make matters worse, I even went so far as to denigrate one of the questioners by using a completely inappropriate racial analogy. It was so bad that I was compelled to make a public apology. The apology that I wrote was so bitter and utterly unapologetic that — if you can believe this — I had to engage a ghostwriter to pen a second one. Oh wait, that was Ken Frazier.

Priceless. You really had me going.

Metric Ass-tons of bonus points to you for the “ Throwing a hotdog down a hallway” GIF...

which, by the way, was the greatest quote to ever appear on this board*

Everytime I use my tongs I start to feel outraged, begin hating myself and wonder if I have a culture problem. I’m forced to get a latte to get out of this funk. But then I think about the academic achievements of our student athletes, Thon and all good things about my alma mater. I feel better, toss away that pussy latte and order a double espresso.

The one example I will always go back to is when people say one particular player should be playing over another. No matter one sport it is. I always revert to one name. Bragalone. I've never seen people so bent out of shape over penn state not offering. Needless to say I think they found a decent replacement.

Stevens at QB with Barkley and Bragalone in the backfield.....even the Kansas Orange Bowl goal line D (6-3-3) wouldn’t have stopped or even slowed down that machine!

I invested my entire 401k in Fairgambit Enterprises. Long story short, my wife kicked me out, got the house in the divorce settlement, and I'm now living out of my car.
I did not realize FairGambit was Nigerian. That's why I love this Board...you learn something new every day!

I was at Elizabeth Hurley's place the other day and we went for a swim in her pool.

I recently had a kid I work with tell me that he was showering with a man that works with him in the community due to his rough home situation. Said the man picked him up to rinse him off and gave him a big bear hug. Previously I would made an immediate call to CPS. Instead, due to some posters in here, I told the kid that it was a normal thing to do and that he better not ever look get any money from the guy later because that will prove that he made the story up for money.

Feel better?!

Toss the latte?!

No blueberry scone?!

What are you talking about?!

As a matter of fact, my brother-in-law still lives in PA and was talking to a guy at the local watering hole who knows a truck driver in Michigan who has a top secret inside source who said James Franklin is about to sign a multi-million dollar contract to join Harbaugh's staff. Or maybe it was the Lions' staff. But then again it could have been Cael the truck driver was talking about. The guy at the bar was too drunk to remember but let's start a rumor thread on the board anyway.

The brother-in law also confirmed that Zombie Neuheisel still hangs out at the Corner Room.

Was your kayak big enough?

Every time I see a story about something shady at another school, the first thing I think is: Please take this opportunity to remember that Penn State has a culture problem.

I don't remember who used this all the time in posts, maybe latte Bob?

We were in HV to visit our daughter and catch a hockey game a few weekends back. I wanted to try something different from our usual Waffle Shop and got brunch on Sunday at The Tavern. Thanks to this board all I did was keep looking for Rick Neuheisel!
