I beginning to think only a handful of people on this board have a grip on reality.
Nobody and I mean nobody in major college football retains their staff like Paterno did. In fact I would argue and I'll take the abuse that the stagnation on his staff probably cost PSU a decade of football lost at the elite level.
Look at Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, Florida, etc. and on and on how they have dealt with turnover and yet somehow found adequate replacements over the years.
The fact that other schools want to talk with your coaches says to me we have a talented crew. I want a talented crew. If our coaches are sought after by other power five schools great. I would rather have that than nobody giving them a look.
Yes it sucks! We all long for the days of blow out wins, New Year's Day bowl games and competing for conference titles but returning to those lofty days will not likely usher in only a few coaching changes in a decade. That world doesn't work that way!
