This Brady vs. the NFL could get really, really ugly.

Brady, by most "expert opinions" has no chance based on the merits of the case and the power granted the commish by the CBA. But lawyers know that's not the only way to get results (just ask Gloria Allred).

seems that the Pats are threatening to release emails between the Pats and NFL on "leaks" or intended missinformation on deflate gate and other juicy tidbits to the press (read, ESPN) who happily repeated flawed information.

As PSU fans, we see how a leveraged press works.

To Robert Kraft, I'd like to say "Welcome to the Party, Pal"!

I was thinking about this morning ......... there's a chance the courts neither rule on this case NOR block the suspension prior to September 10. So what would happen if New England just trotted Tom Brady out to play QB in the opener vs. Pittsburgh anyway?

This is truly getting surreal.

The suspension should have never been four games. It should have been a heavy fine. Goodell is complete F-up in about every major decision he has made. He wanted to play God so he doesn't deserve the "it's a tough position to be in" defense. I am a Steelers fan and I believe that Brady and Bell should be on the field for that game.

He is making 50 million a year and while even little things blow up nowadays with how exposed everything is Goodell pours gasoline on something even if it's a spark. He is pathetic.

Screw 'em all. Would love to see this blow up into a giant donnybrook, and become a significant black eye for Brady, Hoodie, Kraft, the Patriots, Goodell, and the NFL. Did I miss anyone?

He makes 50 million a year while the league is "non-profit". Absolute insanity.

What do mean by leveraged press in our case? Do you think the BOT leveraged the press?

I am not sure if the BOT did, on a national level. But the BOT certainly did locally (planting several articles, one (IIRC) was in the NYT). We still see these articles today in the local papers. Freeh and the NCAA certainly did.

I also think that the prosecution did with "leaking" the GJ Report and grandstanding the accusations against Curley and Schultz (later Joe and Spanier). I don't think they realized it would blow up like it did but they certainly used the Philly papers and Ganum.
