Look, there's no such thing as a safe 100% plastic gun. Try shooting one you are taking your chances. Why. Take for example the chamber of an AR15. It must be capable of withstanding pressures of 40,000 psi. I'm no engineer. Perhaps some of you can enlighten me. I am not aware of any plastic that can withstand said pressure. Ergo, the issue of a "non-detectable" gun is a non-starter. So crying Chuck Schumer can dispense with the grandstanding.
As for the political ramifications, I seem to remember Obama's ATF approving bump stocks. When you are 'the man in charge' you must take responsibility for the actions of your underlings...
