This is an interesting tweet

Ah Chickenman, always stirring the pot.

Yonemitsu was the 2012 Gold Medalist at 66 kg (145.5 lbs.). Seems as though PSU's roster is well stocked around that weight.

Perhaps he was at the NLWC as a workout partner for Tank. Beyond that, well, the mind can play tricks on you. ;) I should point out that Yonemitsu turned 29 last month, so I'm doubtful that he has any college eligibility.

A little coaching in his future mayhaps? you can never have too many Olympians around

How many other Olympic champs were taking in football action last weekend while wearing wrestling gear from the host team.....while not having any historical connections to the host team.

Not many..........

That looked like a great night for football.

We have one Japanese Olympian coaching In Pittsburgh. Maybe Yonemitsu would be interested in Philly or Allentown.
Abe and Yonemitsu undoubtedly know each other. Maybe they've met up somewhere in either State College or Pittsburgh.

Bump - someone on TheMat said he was coaching the NLWC guys at the Ferrell Open today.

Zain has got to like that if he's got a Gold Medalist to work with - don't want the upper weights to have all the fun.

I saw him there, didn't see him coaching. Only noticed Cody coaching the NLWC guys, except the Jered Cortez consi match, where someone I didn't recognize was in his corner.

Help me out.... how do you pronounce Sanshiro's last name? Is it Abe, like Mr. Lincoln? Or "ahh-bay"? Or something else?

Pretty sure it was his national championship call done by Ironhead that got me hooked on wrestling being worth listening to over the radio. I might be wrong - not sure how long Jeff has been doing it - but I remember listening from the hallway in Rec Hall while the rest of the family was inside watching gymanstics or volleyball or something...
