After Dem-Media's laughably obvious last-minute hit job fizzled, Pete Hegseth's nomination to be Secretary of Defense passed a critical procedural vote today 51-49. All the Dem-Mediacrats were joined by the Republican Bobbsey Twins Murkowski and Collins in opposing Hegseth.

Oh yeah, and John Fetterman, who some conservatives were slobbering over earlier this week for his supposed independent streak and willingness to give Hegseth a chance? At crunch time he voted in lockstep with Dem-Media. Surprise, surprise! Some people will never learn.

I think this sets up a successful final vote tomorrow. Thank heavens we have a little margin for error in the Senate with the 53-vote majority. Getting Hegseth in place at the Pentagon will be a critical step in regaining control of the federal government.
