This sentence jumped out to me as well but I didn't want to bring it up for the fear of the onslaught of OT posts that might follow. But why are they still calling it an alleged cover up when that has been disproven in a court of law? None of the cover up charges stuck. Things are typically referred to as alleged when they are pending trial. From the CNN article, ......"McSorley lifted the program from NCAA probation after the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal and the school's alleged cover-up and in two short years led an improbable run to a Big Ten title."
Again I ask that this correctly be titled the PSU BOT Scandal...and select BOT members involvement with the second mile....
They, like too much of the press/media, are lazy and often have agendas. Since most of the uninformed nation is taken in by their tactics there is no reason to report accurately. After 2011 I'm mystified at PSU fans/supporters who take much of any "news" reported as fact. This sentence jumped out to me as well but I didn't want to bring it up for the fear of the onslaught of OT posts that might follow. Another fun fact:
Matt McGloin threw for more touchdowns than TP. He has fewer INTs too.
But hey, everybody kills people. Murders people. Steals from you. Steals from me. Whatever.
One item I rarely hear NFL talking heads mention related to this is that the NFL football is a different size than a college football. It will be interesting to see how Trace adapts to the change for him.Well, two measurables work against him. Hand size and arm strength. We've seen height be dismissed recently. Hand size is still one of those things and his are one of the smallest of the major QBs in the draft. For example, cold weather teams are loath to take a small hand QB due to the problems of gripping a ball in cold weather. The real issue is arm strength. We'll see if he can make the NFL throws at the combine. His biggest problem in college was making the deep throws (over 40 yards). There is no question about his leadership, game understanding and decision process.
To me, it will all come down to demonstrable arm strength.
