I've been following college football since the early 70s. This is the most completely and best Ohio State team that I've ever seen. They are going to butt roll Michigan and whom ever they play in the title game. We held our own against them and have set us up at a decent shot at the Rose Bowl. Whom ever they play in the title game will be crushed and have at least 2 losses. With Ohio State going to the Play Off the Rose Bowl will pick us to play the loser of the Utah vs Oregon game. Good job gentlemen.

I feel like we have played way better Ohio State teams than this one.

It's frustrating to watch them send guys like Nick Bosa, Joey Bosa, and Chase Young out there every year. My guess is if they don't get Fields via transfer, this game is a toss up.

Reality check...they were better this year and they are probably better than everyone else in the country too. We battled today. No shame in losing to a great team. If enough guys return, I think there's a good chance the roles are reversed next year!

I actually came away thinking we are better than I thought and OSU is not as good as I thought.

Fields running on third downs was the biggest factor in this game. They had the single best athlete and he had the ball in his hands all game.

I think OSU will run into trouble against the rest of the big boys. Their offense is a bit one dimensional and they won’t be able to out-athlete a team like LSU Bama Clem etc.

The pass rush was insane , haven’t seen something like that in a long time. It’s a Elite Ohio state team.

Their pass rush was very good.....but when you don’t have to worry about the O trying anything wide, when you don’t have to worry about any misdirection, when every pass is play action, when there are no quick snaps, you just tee off and meet exactly where the QB receives the snap.

Take Fields and Dobbins away and this team is pretty ordinary on offense and has one star player on defense. I don’t get this all-world stuff with O$U.

Yea no. If you listened to the announcers they only had one all star player on D, but there were multiple plays where multiple D linemen were breaking through but they have to build the heisman hype and only talked about Young.

Lol really? Apart from 3 costly turnovers, this could have been a blowout. PSU got what they needed to compete in this game (turnovers and scoring off them) but this game was dictated and dominated by OSU on the box score. PSU was not putting together long drives and scoring. One of their scoring possessions started on the 12 yard line (of OSU)

It's not as if we have never seen a player like Young before. I just don't get it. I remember a lot of OSU teams that we could barely stay on the field with, and OSU coaches even taking their foot off the gas so they wouldn't totally embarrass Paterno. Not at all like that today

To be fair, we were going up against Superman and The Avengers...
I was shaking my head when I heard that on the call.

You take away their fumbles and it’s probably a rout. They were dominate overall
That's my impression too. I also felt like OSU was not ready for Levis at all in this game, like not prepared to see zone read after zone read. Once the avalanche of turnovers ended in the 3rd quarter and PSU had to start drives on their side of the 50, the defense started to figure it out.

. That’s because in those years PSU was just not close to OSU - say on a talent index OSU was an 8 and PSU was a 3. This year though OSU is a 10 and PSU is an 8. We’re great, but they’re just extremely talented across all positions. PSU is getting there though especially with the youth on the team.

I'm not really into replying to people online but here goes

can you not just be happy with being undefeated and top two in the country? do you have to take a big crap on other fanbases? does that make you feel better about yourself or your team? we lost, it sucks, nobody feels great so we are trying to feel better. guess what? it'll happen to you sometime too, but for now why don't you go celebrate with your own team's fans?

instead of coming in here and acting like a big dildo head bully because you happen to be a fan of a good football team

like it makes you cool or something

When did I put Penn State down? Sounds like you're being the one defensive and insecure.

Nah, the defense had nothing to do with aggressive play and forcing turnovers.

I’m so grateful OSU charitably gave PSU the ball.

Clemson will beat them

Unless this Penn state team is way better than I’m giving them credit for I’m not seeing this osu team as clearly superior to some of their best over the last 20 years. I think the 2017 psu team would have won today.

Turnovers are part of the game. Looking forward to next year's Whiteout.

Without turnovers today they would have beat us by 24 and would have kept their streak of beating teams by 24 alive. They are on their way to the Play Off. If they crush their next two opponants, they help send us the the Rose Bowl.

Exactly. The key in this equation is that this PSU team is not that good. We can all see it.

Fumbles, ESP the capability to cause them, are part of the game. Not interested in "what if" scenarios (except when corrupt Big10 refs are involved)....which brings me to mention that Buckeye non-call fumble in the first half by the officiating crew. Overall though, the refs did a decent job for once.

I was underwhelmed by OSU defense. We've seen better OSU teams in the past 15 years. 2 TDs exposed our terrible corners. PSU still could not develop any consistent offense. Rahne certainly did not lose the game today, but we've had maybe 3 excellent drives the entire year, yet have the skill players to show more consistency offensively. To be perfectly honest, with Moorhead as OC this year, PSU is undefeated and in CFP.

Respectfully, Moorhead wasn’t the answer and isn’t the answer.
