Even though Terry Smith was on the phone last night with Miles Sanders while other schools were STILL calling him. Smith was on the phone with Sanders again this morning just before he faxed his LOI.

Even though Menet told a B1G coach that contacted him after Hand left and before Limegrover was hired that the only way that coach would get to coach him is if he got the o-line coach job at Penn State.

You don't think people were coming after Simmons, McPherson, Toney (obviously) and others up until last night?

Who were we supposed to close that we didn't? The staff went all out for Hill, not sure what more they could've done. Dioubate is a special situation. Matthews was committed for like 2 weeks - does that even count? Dwumfour got stars in his eyes following his 5* friends to UM.

Pryts is probably the one that hurt the most, but seemingly he was closest to Shoop and his leaving was mainly responsible for Pryts flip to Stanford.

Hamlin was never leaving PGH. Nixon's decision $eems odd. Ferns hurts but it seems he wanted to be closer to home.

No we didn't shoot up the rankings on the final day, but this staff kept a lot of very very good talent committed to PSU through the last 4 losses and the coaching changes. Some people seem to think that everybody with a PSU offer will come to PSU if the staff just tries hard enough. That isn't the case.
