Ryan hit on Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star defensive tackle Haskell Garrett in a previous update, as Penn State GA Sam Williams recently stopped by Gorman to check on Garrett. Garrett has family connections to Pennsylvania.
In an interview with our colleagues at the Notre Dame site, which you can read here, Garrett says Penn State is one of the offers that stand out early. But he also says the Irish are his current leader.
In addition to ND, "I like Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M, USC and that's about it," Garrett said.
"I want to try and take some unofficial visits," he added. "Definitely to Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Penn State, Oklahoma and USC."
