That performance, or lack thereof, was absolutely abysmal. Penn State attracts very talented athletes, and to see their skills wasted time and again by this coaching staff is a travesty. The new OC and his offensive scheme is hot garbage. Allowing Clifford to play when he was ”obviously” in pain, and not able to perform to the minimal expectations of his position, was pure negligence. I have been holding on to hope that Mr. Franklin would have developed an elite staff by this juncture, but it just hasn’t materialized. Losses are going to happen, but the way in which some of the losses have occurred (by coaching decisions) are historic, gut wrenching and absolutely unacceptable. He went to my alma matre….took my cousin to the prom….I was rooting for him as much as I could, but I have to grade him on his overall performance with regard to expectations. Time to move on, Bud.
