"Why should all of this matter to the average voter?

Because whether a criminal conspiracy exists or not – and it is a lot to ask of people to believe that such a widespread cabal does – there is a widespread network of voices calling on Kane to step down or some official action be taken to remove her from office before criminal adjudication of guilt or innocence.

In other words, these individuals are calling for the nullification of the votes of more than 3 million citizens who elected Kane.

What Kane should have said on Wednesday was, "This is not about me. This is about you. If any group, loosely organized or tightly controlled, can run an duly elected state attorney general out of office, they can run roughshod over anyone.""

The Kane issue is a 2 edged sword. There certainly was a rivalry and infighting between her side and the Fina side. However, Kane's been her own worst enemy. She's made a complete disaster of the Pennsylvania AG office by firing virtually everyone in sight who disagreed with her in any way. She even had the absolute arrogance (or 'dumb as a rock' stupidity) to fire a lawyer right after he testified about her and the judge said no retribution could be taken against witnesses. Frankly, I'm putting her into the 'she's dumb as a rock' category right now. Fina and company may be devious bastards but Kane is just killing herself.

Have you ever worked in Government? You will come to understand that it is run by a bunch of good ole boys and Kane messed up their party. remember, the AG office was entrenched with R's until Kane was elected. All of those R's want to keep the gang together and operating as usual. Kane's election threw a monkey wrench into their cabal. They have been fighting back from day one and she was not smart enough to keep her nose clean through the mess. Now she has more than the culture to fight.

the second paragraph sounds eerily familiar
