Tom Brady retiring

This story of whether or not he is going to retire is now going to overshadow the two conference championship games tomorrow. It’s all the announcers are going to be talking about during the games lol. Good.

He deserves to go out on his own accord and make his own announcement without Schefter leaking the info beforehand, whether the info is true or not.

My memory of Brady is beating Penn State when we were up 10 with seven minutes to go in 99. He did throw a pick six but I remember my father telling me if we keep going to the three man rush this kid is going to pick us apart. It helped that scum mugged Lavar all game.

He might, might not. He has said he hasn’t made a decision yet.

He said before his wife has made great sacrifices for him to play and there things she wants to do. So they have some difficult decisions to make.

Brady didn't beat Penn State in '99, the officials did. Penn State was totally mugged in that game.

BIG holding in the 90s was a disgrace. We never adjusted to the level of holding that was allowed, especially against us. Disgraceful Ann arbor officials.

That game sucked and no way we should have lost. When Brady ran for a TD on that crucial Q4 3rd down taking like 10 minutes to cover 7 yards was brutal.

It's official today. Need to wait until today to get all of his signing bonus. something like $10M.
I think he got his bonus earlier but had to wait to declare retiring as it would have screwed the team from its cap space calculations. The reporting has been confusing.

One excellent thing I heard is that Brady is going to work on improving nutrition and dietary habits in America, especially for children. We are a nation of fat asses and he certainly has his work cut out for him.

This is such an important effort in this country. If that is true and Brady actually makes real efforts to improve nutrition for kids, I give him a lot of props. So many children have health problems because they’re severely overweight and despite being overweight they are malnourished. I am shocked when I observe peoples grocery store carts and it is filled with nothing healthy and all junk.

Just wanna scream when I see a 250 lb women with three fat kids pushing a cart with eight packs of soda pop on the rails of her cart and the cart full of junk. So vary sad for those kids.

I will take that a step further risking a 15 yard penalty being called on me here. I agree with you, and even more sickened when one of the kids in that situation has an obvious developmental disorder and the parents are filling the kid with junk food.

Nice try but 100% false. He gets paid $15 million on Feb 4th and it's not a signing bonus, it's deferred payment and he gets it regardless if he's retired or not.

Still don’t know how my Eagles beat him. I didn’t relax until a full 20 seconds after the Hail Mary fell short - just expecting a flag or some bullshit.

what a great game Foles and that Eagles offense played.

G.O.A.T.

If the word has any meaning.

I'm not sure it should have any meaning in a team sport because there are so many other factors involved. Matthew Stafford played 12 seasons in Detroit and made it to three playoff games and went 0-3. In one season in LA he's 3-0 in playoff games. If he played his whole career in Detroit he might not have won a single playoff game and the same goes for Brady. The point isn't to say that Stafford is as good as Brady but rather that there's more to it than just who is playing QB.

Brady was great, but not great enough to beat Big Nick Foles in the Super Bowl.😉

Yeah, interesting how he played just two years in Tampa even though he often said he would play until he was 45 he could have played another year. And he had a great season so he still has the talent. And it would have been nice to walk away after winning another instead of losing in the playoffs.

I get the feeling he went somewhere to win another SB so that people would quit saying that Belichick made Brady. He needed to show he could win one without Belichick, did it, so now he is satisfied and ready to retire.
