I am really tired of posters from other schools who feel they need to lecture us. Please see the following post in the Silas Redd thread by 1deuce4hamilton:

I would rather Penn State win the national title every single season than have what happened to those kids from 1998 onward. But... at least it allowed for the rest of the world to how singular and indifferent Penn State is to any subject not involving Penn State football.

Do any of you ever listen yourselves?

(1) Kids get systemically abused... Response: let's rally for Joe. We don't want our fall saturday's to go away.

(2) Ref blows a few calls... Response: blame the conference"man, that Big Ten conference has sure had it out for us for a long time"

(3) a college kid bails because he dosen't feel like hearing about trials, sanctions, and child rape for the duration of his collegiate years... Response: lets cheer when he blows out a knee in the NFL
...and by the way. this notion that he left his fellow teammates behind is moronic. number 1... this is not warfare. number 2 and more importantly why would someone want to stick around when the transgressions were allowed to happen by those in charge? It's not like the eight defectors are abandoning the team because of a losing record, poor recruiting or fledgling fan interest. this is college... it is not about you and your saturdays. its about the student athletes. what 18-21 year old wants to discuss trials, sanctions, and child rape.

You guys are really all about yourselves. You're certainly not about the players. Yourselves.

I agree he is a troll. The best way to handle trolls is to file a Report by clicking the button for that purpose in his post.

You go to Troll Wars Illustrated and read a thread that was started by a troll, and get mad at the responses of another one. That's a lot of what the site is. You might as well visit a kennel and then ask the owner to remove a dog for barking.

First of all, fans from other schools can come here and post as it is a free board. I'm not going to ban a PITT fan or a Rutgers fan simply because of who they root for.

This is Tom's board and he mostly moderates but that's how I feel about the situation.

Finally, if you report a thread, you don't need to report it five, six or seven times. That's more demanding of a ban then a differing opinion IMO.
