- Wrestler of the Year

PSUers are represented in their awards. I don't agree with each of their Tommies, but they do reflect the voting of the TOM staff.

Cruz beating Gilman was certainly an upset, but I think Gilman was generally considered a far more beatable 1 seed than IMart. Cenzo's win was more dramatic, it was in the finals, and I suspect it will be remembered by far more wrestling fans five years from now than Cruz's victory.

While IMar may have been a surer thing than Gilman, but probably not by much with Suriano it, Cruz was a less plausible NC contender than Cenzo so I can see how Cruz was the bigger upset.
