Top 3: 1) Kirk Ferentz, 2) Paul Chryst, 3) Tom Allen
Bottom 3: 1) Mark Dantonio, 2) P.J. Fleck, 3) Jim Harbaugh

Can't stand Fleck, snake-oil salesman. Dantonio is a no-brainer, Harbaugh is not my least favorite, he's more goofy than anything else.

Ryan Day almost made my favorites, seems like a stand-up guy. Fitzgerald rubs me the wrong way.

James Franklin is not included in this list, but he would be right after Ferentz. The next 15 months will tell the tale. Great, young talent on this team. With the experience and almost no seniors if we can get all of the coaches to coach at an elite level, 2020 could be the year.

Excluding Franklin....

Top 3
1. Fitz, 2. Ferentz, 3. Nunzio

I just can't say anything bad about Nunzio - because I know nothing about him, except he has a great name...

Bottom 3
1. Dantonio, 2. Frost, 3. Harbaugh

And it's not that I disrespect Frost - but he really has not shown me anything...he is more of a "meh"....

Chryst gets bonus points for using Pitt like the stepping stone that it is.

Chris Ash is a real up-and-comer, I predict big things for him at Rutgers.

I don't know much about Ryan Day, I just wonder what scandal will eventually force him to leave THE OSU?

I agree with your selections. I like Fitz because he's a player's coach. Ferentz and Chryst because of their calm demeanor and they do more with less. Next year we should make a run. I don't think we're in any danger of Rahne being picked off by another program.

Top 3:
1.) Jim
2.) Fitz
3.) Franklin

Bottom 3:
1,) Dumbtonio
2.) Chryst
3.) Day

My list should speak for itself. I admire straight forward, no BS type of coaches that is all about honesty.

I was thrilled when Urban left. I thought the drop off between him and anyone else would be significant, but now I’m starting to rethink. I know it’s very early, but this team just seems more focused to me. Could Urban have been a distraction?

Urban Liar was all about a massive amount of talent over running other teams. He threw away games to teams that shouldn't have been close. Glad he's gone and coaching at USC next year.

He seemed to always lay an egg on the road once every year. Last year at Purdue was surreal.

Didn't #2 on your bottom list recently boat race your team? Jimbo must really suck then.

Really? o_O

Meyer lost 3 Road Games in 7 Years (the same number as Nick Saban over the same time period)...… One of them to PSU.

Meyer's 9 Losses at OSU:

Penn State (11-3 record) Road
Iowa (8-5) Road
Purdue (6-7) Road

VaTech (7-6) Home
Michigan State (12-2) Home
Oklahoma (12-2) Home

Michigan State (13-1) in B10 Game, Neutral Site
Clemson (11-2) Orange Bowl, Neutral Site
Clemson (14-1) Fiesta Bowl, Neutral Site

You left out he's a scumbag !

83-9 over 7 years (one FEWER loss than Nick Saban).
1st place in the B10E (either outright or tied) every single year.
Top 10 National Ranking every year (only once below #6)

I don't like Meyer..... but the facts are the facts - and delusions are delusions.

You left out that he's a scumbag. I'll take honest Jim 100% of the time !!!!!

IDK, Tom Allen, IMO, is a complete whack job.

To notice him let alone dislike him must mean the program is moving up the food chain.;) Seriously though, I think that he was/ is just that energetic.

More focused? Through a handful of games, none of which were major tests? Don’t rethink it too much. Day is young and has much to prove. He’s probably working his butt off in ways CUM hasn’t had to in his more recent seasons. Yes. He stockpiled talent and was an excellent coach. He had some distraction in that last season but let’s not start theorizing that CUM moving on from tOSU was a positive for anyone but the competition—at least until we see this season play out, and probably next too.

In regards to admiration (left out PSU due to bias and RU with newbie):
  1. Ferentz - old school and reminds me most of JVP
  2. Fitz - hard nosed and does a lot with less (plus he had great respect for JVP)
  3. Chryst - appears to run a clean program and does a whole lot with less
  4. Lovie Smith - first name says it all ... not a threat to put Illini back on map
  5. Brohm - potential up-and-comer with a well coached team
  6. Frost - another potential up-and-comer but has a long road (Nebraska's history should make it easier than Purdue)
  7. Allen - like Purdue last year, I get the feeling he will have a big uspet soon
  8. Day - looks like Eddie Munster but (so far) hasn't skipped a beat from Urbs. Time will tell.
  9. Fleck - something about that guy just feels creepy
  10. Locksley - see Fleck
  11. Jimmy - highly overrated and just a flat out weird dude
  12. Dantonio - seeing him on TV makes you want to just punch him in the face, the new thUg program

Ryan Day is very likeable and obviously is doing a great job at Ohio State. P.J. Fleck might be a good coach, but I can't stand him. Dantonio just seems evil.

Top 3: Franklin, Ferentz, Chryst. If Franklin isn’t allowed, then Day.

Bottom 3: Fitz, Dantonio, Fleck.
