Couple questions; How does a rider/team qualify to enter? Other certified race placing? Times? Money?

Do they use the same bike every day or switch depending on terrain? If same bike can they change tires, gear ratio, or other options for weather and terrain? How many riders per team? Is there a minimum that they have t have or be forced out of race?

Started watching couple yrs ago because the scenery in the mountains was so beautiful. Then watched last year because I was going to France. Now I am getting into the competition, strategies, and the amazing pain and sacrifice of the riders.

Team Sky and Froome look like Postal and Lance - doped to the gills.

Yesterday was ridiculous - Richie freakin' Porte as George Hincapie. All the same excuses are popping up for the great performances - cadence, attention to detail, etc.

The funny thing is seeing a lot of UK reporters who hated Lance lapping it up now that Sky is dominating.
