Are you talking about the Train Station sub / hoagie shop that used to be to the left of McClanahan's? If so, I am excited, as they had the best Turkey subs I can remember. This was in the early to mid 1970's!Levels night club closed. Liquor license is being transferred to the herlocher's mustard empire, who used to own the train station. It could be back!
Manatree is exactly right. This doesn't mean a return. That train as they say has left the station. If I remember correctly, Herlocher owns the building and has done the same thing every other time a bar in that location closes. It is probably part of the lease structure. I wouldn't necessarily read this as a sign of the Train Station's return.

I guess it was probably "a business decision" that closed the Train Station. If that was the case, it rivals Silas Redd in the Annals of Bad Business Decisions.
Had the Train Station/Cattle Car complex remained open up into the present day, it would be rivalling any other business in town for Best State College Tradition.
The closing of the Train Station was the day "some things never change" changed forever for me. I lived on Cattle Car hoagies and Release Valves for a significant part of my time at Penn State. The extremely popular (some of you would not believe how popular) french onion soup was not my thing, though.
Why don't one of you guys quit your day job, lease the building, and and reopen the train station? I'm sure it would be a huge hit with Alumni, and if the food/drinks are cheap enough the students will come.
