Transfer Rumor: CRUISELINER ALERT!!

Over on Rutgers board, RUcrackers claiming he predicted Suriano, Campallatano and others.

Apparently he is an ex AA for RU and has an insider. He’s claiming PSU and Iowa both have “Suriano level” talents leaving both programs. Hints that the PSU wrestler has a redshirt available and Iowa wrestler does not.

Many of the RU faithful jumping on his jock thanking him for the info and taking guesses. They thinking Levi or Kasak coming after year! LOL

Meh....we'll see. The undeniable fact is that some PSU guys are going to need to think about transferring if they wish to be regular starters or to try to become All Americans, but I can't imagine that any PSU wrestler who's presently starting and at a very high level would be inclined to do so, especially not to Rutgers. Like I said, we'll see.

I just read that thread as well. What many fail to realize with PSU wrestlers is that even non-starters stick around just to be a part of the culture here. Additionally, many have goals beyond NCAA wrestling. Would you rather prepare for your freestyle goals at NLWC or at NJRTC?
 
Lol, ok. We’ll be fine. Speculatively, Kasak might make sense. Levi doesn’t at all to me. But why Rutgers? Sealey is also a good guess. Not every kid is going to buy into the PSU formula where your lineup slot will never be guaranteed.

It’s been a few years but if I recall, there was another RU poster that claimed PSU fans going to shit a cruiseliner once it was revealed who was transferring out of PSU and to RU (this was after the Suriano saga). I believe the claim was Cassar. Then when it didn’t happen the poster claimed that Cassar got upset that the info leaked and decided to stay at PSU. It was all bullshit talk. Similar to this.

“My source said that if this Penn St wrestler leaves two others will follow. Both of them are studs and a half. The one wrestler thinks Cael looks at his wrestlers as expendable. He doesn't like Lee for some reason either.”

I thought the cruiseliner meme originated with the Suriano rumors, which proved true.

It was Cenzo, then Cassar, then anyone with a pulse. Cenzo was the one who "didn't transfer because of the leak" lol.

It was before Suriano had even arrived on campus at PSU.

Fast forward a year later and Suriano did transfer there, hence Cruiseliner Nick.

And yes, it was all nonsense. That Rutger poster was so full of crap, his eyes were brown. Most of their posters disbelieved him at the time.

Your guess is as good as mine what the heck they talking about. RU is my home state team so I always follow them and hope they do well (except against PSU).

Most of the posters though are kind of out of the loop and say some crazy things.

Iowa doesn't have any Suriano level wrestlers. Arnold would be my guess though, and Arnold is leaving because he apparently can not find a starting spot between 2 weight classes.

Rutgers? If true we aren't losing one of our smartest ;-)

No doubt we lose several over the next few years and if we land one or a couple more of the big three recruits we may lose more.

Redshirt status aside my list of high at risk guys:

Sealy - no one is boxed in more than this kid. Going up or down, I don't see him beating SVN, Kasak, Messinbrink or PJ Duke. PS why didn't he go last weekend? Friction in the room, injury,..? I think he stays only if Kasak left and I don't see that happening unless there just isn't a fit for Kasak culturally. I see no indications of that.

Facundo - I would say Mich then Oky St.

Gibson - Hmm, Bro is gone, he could start somewhere

Davis/Nagao - it also depends who is inbound next year, but one or the other

Cochran - it's late in the career but he could be the next Claw.

Ok, ok, I know I am nuts, totally crazy, out of my mind, but maybe after another year one or both might consider.... the wonder twins.

Hypothetically speaking since thats all most of can do here.
If you were a great prospect from Pennstate and couldn't make the cut and you wanted to wrestle in front of family friends etc...
Where would your landing spot be??
Rutgers, Pitt, LockHaven, Lehigh, Clarion, Edinboro, Maryland?????
Where do you think the best place to get the most out of your wrestling and academics??
 
Honestly, when you think about it, if we are taking about some disgruntled or dissappointed kids at Iowa and PSU, does anyone really think they aren't kicking the tires on many big programs? With NIL what it is, Rutgers is likely out gunned on that front.

It's November of 2024, one would think any hammer that is on the fence will want to first portal, and then see what the market will bare.
Goodale would never tamper, would he? ;-/

Are Arnold's and Sealy's families located within say a 2 hour drive of Rutgers? If not I question this rumor. Kids leaving at both programs is not only plausible but likely. Multiple elite kids going to Rutgers? Someone is smoking something.
